How we study know-how
The method behind every piece: the task first, then the people who can do it, then how the method is passed on.

Start from the critical task
Each study starts from the tasks that stop a line, harm product quality or create a safety risk when nobody on shift can do them. The task is named precisely: the machine, the step and the role.
- 1TaskName the critical task: the machine, the step and the role.
- 2PeopleCount who can do it unsupervised, on every shift.
- 3TransferStudy how the method is passed on, and what is lost on the way.
Measures we use
- Skills coverage: the number of people qualified to perform a critical task unsupervised, by shift.
- Time to competence: months from hire to working unsupervised on the full task set.
- Handover quality: the share of open issues passed on at a shift change.
Definitions, measurement boundaries and sources for each measure will be published here.
Exhibit standards
- Every exhibit is numbered and carries a full-sentence title stating its finding, a unit line and a source line.
- Exhibits that use placeholder values carry an “Illustrative data” tag, and their source line says so.
- Charts include a data table alternative and a text description for screen readers.
Imagery
Published reports will use commissioned or licensed documentary photography. Imagery on this preview was created with AI tools and is credited once, in the site footer.
